Read tools only look things up. Write tools create or change things. Destructive tools delete.
- shorten_linkwriteShorten a linkMakes a short link that redirects to an http or https URL, with a random 6-character slug. Optional: a chosen word as the slug (on the service's own domain limited on this account type to 5 words for now, of 6 or more characters; deleting a link does not free its word), a title, UTM tags added to the destination, and a password asked on a page before the redirect (the destination stays hidden until it is entered). A link with no click in 12 months expires. Returns the link (id, short URL, destination, clicks, whether it is protected), shown in a link card with copy, open and edit.
- shorten_linkswriteShorten linksMakes up to 50 short links at once, each from a URL with an optional title and chosen word as the slug (on the service's own domain limited on this account type to 5 words for now, of 6 or more characters; deleting a link does not free its word); UTM tags, when given, are added to every destination. Items that fail are listed with the reason without stopping the rest; each link made counts against the account's monthly allowance. Returns the links, shown as a grid.
- list_linksreadList linksLists the account's short links, newest first, a page at a time (20 by default, up to 100): short URL, destination, title, clicks and status. Returns the links, how many there are in total and a cursor for the next page, shown as a grid.
- search_linksreadFind linksFinds the account's short links by words in the slug, title or destination (case and accents ignored), by domain and by creation date (YYYY-MM-DD), a page at a time. Returns the matches, best first, how many there are and a cursor for the next page, shown as a grid.
- get_linkreadShow a linkReturns one of the account's short links, by id, slug or short URL: its destination, title, total clicks and status, shown in a link card.
- update_linkwriteChange a linkChanges a short link's destination, title or slug (a new chosen word is on the service's own domain limited on this account type to 5 words for now, of 6 or more characters; deleting a link does not free its word); only what is given changes. The short URL keeps working after a destination change, and a previous slug keeps redirecting to the link. Returns the link and its previous destination and slug, shown in the link card.
- delete_linkdestructiveDelete a linkDeletes a short link and its click counts. Its short URL and any previous slug stop redirecting (they answer not found); the slugs stay reserved to this account.
- get_link_statsreadClicks of a linkReturns the clicks of a short link per day over the last 7, 30 or 90 days (30 by default) and the total for that window, shown as a chart. Visitors are not identified: no IP address is stored.
- set_link_passwordwriteSet a link's passwordSets, changes or removes the password of a short link or shared file (a shared file keeps one: it can be changed, not removed). People then enter it on a page before the link opens; a new password closes the sessions already opened with the old one. Returns the link, shown in the link card.
- share_filewriteShare a file with a passwordShares a file attached in the chat (PDF, PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF, up to 100 MB; the account stores up to 10 GB of files) as a short link behind a password: people enter the password on a page, then the file opens in their browser. Archives, programs, web pages and SVG images are refused. With link (an existing shared file), its file is replaced and its short URL and password stay. Returns the link (kind file, file name and size), shown in the link card.
